Working hard on Sunday night
Its 8pm and the yr 13s are still working hard- drawing up their data from their sand dune transect in a series of kite diagrams and drawn- to- scale profiles. They are about to start analysing their data using Spearman's Rank which they are very excited about! Although I think we will finish in time for I'm a Celebrity!
A day by the coast
Today is sand dunes study on Bridlington South Sands. Cloudy but no rain and it's not cold!

Share your geographical knowledge Kayley
We used a pH meter and a conductivity meter by filling a beaker of water from the river. We then took a reading at each sure to compare the differences between site one and site three. -Kayley :)
Angular or not angular? That is the question.
Megan and Gabriella measuring the mean pebble size and angularity using the Powers scale of roundness.
Joel's antics
Joel pouring water out of his wellies after his spectacular meeting with the river bed!
Despite falling in he was still in fantastic spirits and enjoying his fieldwork!Measuring channel variations at Helwath Beck
Measuring the pebbles was cold! At the end of the day we put the mean pebble sizes from all the sites onto a graph to find a pattern. As we expected pebble size reduced further down the river.
